Interest in football starts at a very early age in Marrakech. The streets constitute the most important playground for the young ones and, in a country where economic resources are scarce, a simple empty plastic bottle will rather often serve as a ball. Football is the easiest way for children to run and exercise, to measure one's skill against the opponent and, in short, to have some fun.
