"I was always the oddball in the family," admits Don Tolman. "I was a vegetarian from the time I was born. I didn't like the smell of meat while the rest of my family weren't vegetarians, and my father was the 'Great White Hunter'." Don's interest in food took on a different dimension at a very young age, not at public school or a school for culinary chefs, but at Sunday School. What he heard there would affect the rest of his life, though he didn't become a priest. When Don heard the Sunday School teacher talk about a food that is mentioned in the Old Testament that made children smarter, he became determined to learn more.
